Kara Kinsman

I’m Kara Kinsman, a birth and postpartum doula born and raised in Michigan. As a doula and SMC tutor, I take a trauma-informed approach to every step of our journey. My role as an advocate for my clients is very important to me, and I pride myself on providing each client with the support, educational materials and referrals that fit their unique needs. As a survivor myself, I know firsthand that trauma is something we don’t expect. I believe that by grounding in safety, compassion, and presence, we can transform trauma into a path toward growth. My role as an advocate is to help my clients prepare their minds and bodies to meet their baby with courage and openness. It is truly my honor and privilege to walk this healing path alongside my clients, as they grow stronger, empowered, and ready for this new chapter.
